National Science Foundation Study

M&O performed a detailed and wide ranging study for the National Science Foundation that evaluated the logistics for Palmer Station in Antarctica. The study evaluated the present logistics arrangement, including research support and personnel delivery, and provided wide ranging options in optimizing research effectiveness, reduced environmental impact and increased logistics efficiency. The study was presented at an NSF workshop in Arlington, VA where input from all Palmer Station stakeholders was collected and integrated into the final report.
